Hair transplant is considered to be an extremely delicate therapeutic procedure. That’s why, it is important for patients to follow the post-operative instructions vigilantly to ensure proper healing and successful growth of the hair. At Ego Wellness, patient’s fitness has always been the focal priority. During the Hair Transplant Services, proper guidance is provided all through the hair transplant procedure along with the post-operation healing stage. Mentioned below are some post-operative tips that would assist the patients in recovering faster.
  • After taking the treatment, the patient has to sleep with his head elevated for few nights.
  • Avoid consuming medicines such as vitamins, Aspirins, Ibuprofen or any Arthritis tablets for at least 4 days after the transplant procedure. These medications have a tendency to thin the blood which might result in undue bleeding.
  • On the next day morning, after treatment one must shower and shampoo the scalp at least 3 times. In the initial few weeks, you must shampoo your scalp gently. After 2 weeks grafts get permanent and so you can continue normal shampooing.
  • After washing your hair, in case you want to use a blow dryer, switch it on to the cool setting for the first four days after treatment. This is mainly because hot air may possibly cause slight bleeding at the grafted area.
  • Keep away from consuming alcohol or smoking for about 3-4 days after medical procedure.
  • Don’t expose your scalp to sunlight for few days. You can wear a sun-hat or a scarf when in strong sunlight.
  • You can get a haircut done or dye your hair after 4 weeks of treatment.
  • Avoid forceful physical activities such as cycling, running, and weight lifting, or sports activities like golf, football, baseball, cricket, soccer, etc. for at least a week after the surgery.
